Medical education

Members are exposed to the different specialities in the field of medicine through Q&A sessions with health care professionals and physicians, hands-on opportunities such as a suture lab and a casting lab, and many other activities provided by PMA. Many are in conjunction with large healthcare facilities on Oahu and with JABSOM.

community service

Gain valuable experience in the community by volunteering with charity organizations such as March of Dimes, the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Hawaii, Lanakila Meals on Wheels, and the Hawaii Food Bank. Volunteering helps you with necessary social and communication skills as well as provide an opportunity to share your heart with others.

networking/socials

We believe in working hard and playing hard because such balance is necessary for a healthy mind, body and spirit. To take a break from school and to promote networking among the members, PMA plans activities such as hiking, beach BBQs, and camping. At the end of every semester, we also hold a Member Appreciation Banquet to thank all the members for their hard work.

*Membership Dues (Spring 2024): $30/year for new members and $15/year for returning members.
